Project Scope:
This project identifies how Jazz influences the landscape and community; and how music creates place in an urban context. To achieve this, key components of Jazz culture were researched. The methods included interviewing and photographing street musicians and recording their perspectives, synthesizing the interviews and observations of public space to identify the cultural significance of street musicians, recorded the way sounds converged in space, the perspective and act of the second line.
